Pixie (Tripaw)
Pixie is a relative newcomer to the rescue and is just the cutest girl. She is around 18 months old and weighs in at just over 6 kg. Pixie has some special needs, one of her front paws is missing and it's thought by the vets that she was born like this, but this doesn't seem to slow down this bundle of fun. In the long term though, Pixie really does need a prosthetic paw to stop her over-compensating and reduce the likelihood of things like spinal and joint problems along with arthritis. This will be done when she arrives in Scotland in July. We are looking for a forever home for Pixie in Scotland. Pixie loves being around children and is very playful with them so would very possibly suit a family home. She will be on our July flight and will be neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and have clean blood work.
We are currently raising funds for Pixie to have a prosthetic paw made for her. This will make it much easier to get around and hopefully mitigate her chances of getting spinal & joint problems and arthritis from over compensating with her other legs. If you would like to donate to Pixie's fundraiser please follow this link: https://www.sandtosofa.org.uk/help-us-by-donating
When Pixie receives her prosthetic paw it wil require regular routine maintenance. Any adopter will be expected to meet the costs of this along with the costs of any repairs due to wear & tear or damage.
