As a charity, every penny we receive goes to helping another dog to find their forever home. When one dog gets adopted it makes room for another one to come into our care, so in effect it means two dogs are rescued. When Pixie was rescued by Sand To Sofa one of her front paws was missing. The vets think she may possibly have been like this from birth. We are raising money to have a prosthetic paw made for Pixie. She is full of energy and her disability doesn't hinder her enthusiasm for life. However without the prosthetic she may find it difficult to get around and be prone to things like arthritis in her later years. Can you spare just a few pounds for Pixie to lead the long happy life she deserves?
Alwadi was found in a valley, a 'wadi' in Arabic, hence her name. Alone and scared, she was suffering terribly. She was infested with parasites, very poorly and anaemic and she had lost most of her hair. Thankfully we have managed to get her to veterinary treatment in the nick of time and she will recover. But just a few pounds can help enormously with the costs of her recovery.
