Our Process

Please read the information below along with the Pre Application Information page before submitting an application form

A successful match with a dog is then followed by completion of an adoption application form available here on the website. 

If the application is successful it is followed by a homecheck carried out by a Sand To Sofa volunteer.

On successful completion of the homecheck an adoption fee of £650 per dog is payable, 50% as a deposit and the remaining 50% when the dog has a booking confirmation on a flight to Glasgow. If adopting more than one dog (e.g. a bonded pair) a reduction in the total fee may be available. Some dogs may already have arrived and be in foster homes in Scotland.

Finally if they're not already in foster in Scotland, the dogs are flown in for collection at Glasgow Airport.

All dogs come neutered, fully vaccinated (including rabies), microchipped and passported. 

Currently Sand To Sofa can only rehome dogs within Scotland due to limitations on rescue back up. Our huskies and some large breed dogs may be rehomed in other areas and potentially worldwide should the right home and back up be available.
