Hi everyone, I'm Angus. I'm the Chairdog (or Couchdog, I don't mind which), CEO (Chicken Eating Officer) and co-founder of Sand To Sofa Rescue. I had a tough life as a stray on the hot dusty streets of Saudi Arabia. Scraps of food was something I was forever on the lookout for. Then a wonderful lady called Alya found me and took me away from all of that hardship. She found me a maid and a butler called Renee and Peter who are the best staff I could wish for. They also had another owner called Sadie who was a rescue dog like me! A friend of theirs called Nadia suggested to me that we should rescue even more dogs from that awful life and Sand To Sofa was born. Take a look below at some of my friends who have been given a new chance at life with loving families in somewhere called Scotland. I hear it's a beautiful land of unlimited dog treats, comfy sofas and warm nights by the fire.
This cheeky chap is Teddy (aka Wee Ted) who is now living his best life in Glasgow.
Gorgeous Teddy is loving his new home which is within barking distance of Sand To Sofa HQ. You can see from his pictures that he is absolutely adored by his new family.
This much loved little superstar is Salty. Full of cheek and nonsense he is certainly keeping his new family near Falkirk entertained! Salty has a partial paralysis of the face but this doesn't stop him living live to the full. Good on you Salty.
This lovely little lady is Fleur, one of Sand To Sofa's first rescues. When Fleur arrived she was scared of sand, not surprising given her previous experiences. Now her mum and dad can't keep her off the beach! Absolutely living the dream with her adoring new family in Fife.
Teddy was flown to Scotland in July and we think it's fair to say he settled in well. We'll let his new family tell the story:
Teddy (MK3) is the son of Fleur. He loves being outdoors and is in his element zooming around and chasing the birds. Often found in the garden chewing on twigs or stealing pegs and socks from the washing basket. Loves people and other dogs alike - everyone stops to talk to him when they walk past the house. We absolutely adore him and he enjoys nothing more than snuggles of the sofa with his hoomans.
Haggis (previously Yogi) has arrived at his new home. He has been adopted by a wonderful family in Aberdeenshire and now gets to share the sofa with his new fur brother and sister. Happy New Home Haggis!
Peanut, the cutest face we've seen in a long time is now in his new Scottish home. He has been adopted by the wonderful people who run a boarding kennels near Sand To Sofa HQ so they know a bit about dogs! Welcome Peanut and we're sure you will just be living your best life
Alfie (previously Wincey) is now in his new home in Lanarkshire. This bundle of cuteness will be very much loved by his new family. Who could resist him cuddling up as the winter nights approach? Good luck Alfie, we know you have a fabulous life ahead.
Quinn (previously Quincey) has quickly settled in to her new home near Aberdeen. It's almost as if she's always been there! This girl is already a much loved addition to the family and will be very spoiled (as is only right and proper). Good luck Quinn and welcome to Scotland.
This bundle of energy is Fergus (previously Luigi). He has found his forever home with his lovely new family in Fife. He has taken a particular shine to his hooman brother and is keen on a bit of rough and tumble play with his new fur brother Frank (great name 😁) Happy New Home Fergus, we know you're going to love it there.
Our gorgeous Husky/GSD cross Maimonah has been adopted by the family who were fostering her in Saudi Arabia. Way to go Maimonah!
Panda is now waiting to fly in February and join his lovely new family in Nairn. They are just head over heels in love with this handsome boy. You'll have a great new life Panda.
The cutest, funniest little dog you're ever likely to see is off to her lovely new home in Perthshire in December. We know you're just going to love it there Sherry.
The gorgeous Seeta is flying in December to a 5* new home just a few miles from Sand To Sofa HQ in Aberdeenshire. Her new family including her new fur sister Maggie can't wait for her to get there.
Lail is now adopted and will be on our April flight to Glasgow. His new family in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands can't wait for him to arrive. You will love your new home Lail.
