Our gorgeous girl Sahara is a beautiful, intelligent 3-year-old desert rescue who is now fully ready to find her forever home.
Sahara came to us needing support after spending much of her early life in kennels. She has since been fostered in Aberdeenshire, where she has absolutely flourished. With consistency, routine and the opportunity to settle properly into home life, the issues she arrived with have been successfully worked through and she is now ready for the next chapter.
Sahara is a clever, affectionate and engaging girl who forms strong bonds with her people. She loves being involved in whatever is going on and thrives when she has something to use that very busy brain for!
In fact, Sahara has progressed beyond her original behavioural work and is now taking part in scentwork and mantrailing, which she absolutely loves. She is intelligent, driven and eager to learn, and we would love her new family to continue giving her opportunities to use those talents.
Sahara is good with male dogs. Introductions to female dogs should be managed carefully to ensure everyone is comfortable. She has always been good with cats and currently lives happily alongside them.
Her ideal home would be child-free and rural, with plenty of space, a secure garden and people who enjoy an active, intelligent dog. She would suit someone who likes training, scentwork, exploring and generally having a dog who wants to do things with them.
Sahara has done the work. She is ready. What she needs now isn’t rehabilitation — it’s a home of her own.
Full information on Sahara's amazing journey to this point will be available to prospective adopters.
Sahara is considered by us to be a dog who requires priority rehoming. In this instance her donation amount would be set at a minimum of £150. See our Adoption Donations page for details.
